BLUE SKY AND CLOUDS

John the Baptist's father, “Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: …Praise be to the Lord—you my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace." — Luke 1:67-71 John the Baptist prepared “the Way of the Lord." 

Several years ago, I returned to Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. They provided studio space and I could paint uninterrupted until I requested feedback from my professors, Dr. Robert Green and Dan McGregor. The painting that I did over those two semesters were to “Prepare the Way for the Lord. Invaluable were the sessions where I sat with Robert and Dan and they, in Godly wisdom, asked the right questions. Before, I knew about prophetic art or even thought to dream of the possibility that I would or could seriously paint to glorify His name full time, I casually jotted down these words, “A show that will be called, MIGHTY. He knew the plans He had for me. He knew that my entire being was created to praise Him and declare that He is Mighty, Gentle, Fierce and Tender; He seeks you with His Everlasting Love! Your Kingdom come Lord Jesus, on earth as it is in heaven.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. — Psalm 19:1-4

I am pierced to the marrow with the revelation and knowledge of the Truth and Shalom that I experience in Your presence. Praise You, I praise Your Holy, Holy, Holy name. I speak release of the words that God has spoken to me and now through me to you as I declare and proclaim the MIGHTY work of His hands and I declare that He is wonderful; great is His name!
